The Next Step in Digital Transformation

With more than 500 employees, Bredenoord provides temporary and mobile power solutions around the world. To take the next step in its digital transformation, the company implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including the modules for rental, service, and leasing. To support this transformation, DatAction supplied and integrated the Zebra devices that employees use in their daily work.

“We are now in the next phase—that of digital transformation,” says Jordy de Muijnk, IT Operations Manager.

Reliability as a guiding principle

From Apeldoorn, De Muijnk and his team manage the IT resources for all locations and employees. They rely only on the best.

“At Bredenoord, we understand better than anyone the importance of reliable equipment. Continuity is in our DNA. That means we make the right choice in everything we do. Because we never compromise our own principles.”

This also included the decision to use rugged mobile hardware. Drivers, technicians, and order pickers, among others, work daily with Zebra ET65 tablets, DS3678 barcode scanners, and TC58 handhelds. After a careful selection and testing process, Bredenoord chose DatAction as its partner for the delivery, configuration, and rollout of the mobile solution. Reliability, ease of use, and manageability were key considerations in this decision.

The Transition from Paper to Digital

End users also played an important role in the process.

“For our frontline employees, the transition from paper-based to digital work was a major change,” said De Muijnk. “That gives us in IT the responsibility to equip them with the best tools.”

The transition from paper to digital processes results in less manual data entry, greater insight into up-to-date data, and a more efficient workflow for field staff. Information is immediately available, allowing processes to be carried out more quickly and accurately.

Global Remote Management

In addition to the hardware, DatAction also implemented remote management solutions. This was a godsend for an organization whose employees operate worldwide. Devices can be managed centrally, updates are rolled out in real time, and any issues can often be resolved remotely.

“Thanks to the combination of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Zebra devices, and management tools, our employees around the world have the right resources at their disposal. Issues are resolved more quickly, employees always have access to up-to-date information, and we can deliver on our service promise.”

”If even the slightest thing goes wrong, it has an immediate impact on our services.
