Voice picking is one of the most revolutionary changes in order picking in the last decade, with increased productivity and accuracy, noticeable bottom line savings, numerous benefits for the warehouse worker and increased flexibility.

When a warehouse employee works with a barcode scanner, the accuracy is relatively good. Yet productivity remains an existing issue. People don’t often think about it, but using a barcode scanner for picking is a time-consuming process: Read the next location, move around, scan the location, read the quantity on the screen, free your hands and only then do the job. All these actions can be done faster and easier with voice.

Working with paper assignments is very time-consuming and cumbersome (and therefore costs a lot of money). The feedback is very slow and prone to errors. After all, finished lines are often crossed out. As a result, the task takes (unnecessarily) a lot of time. Subsequently, the data (also often sloppily credited data) from the list must be entered into the WMS by another person in order to update the stock correctly. Another significant waste of resources.
