‘A long-term partnership gives us confidence!’ Robert van Roosendaal, Sales Manager at DatAction and Mikel van Urk, Business Lead Channel & AIT Benelux at Zebra Technologies are speaking. Zebra Technologies is an American top manufacturer that makes mobile computers, printers and barcode scanners, among other things. In this blog they tell more about the collaboration between the two companies.
How long have you been working together?
Robert: “We have been working with Zebra for about 25 years, and together we have successfully delivered many projects and products. We came into contact with Zebra because we were looking for a manufacturer that not only markets good and robust equipment, but also provides good service. Mikel adds: “25 years already! We experience that over the years mutual trust has been built up in both the products, the solutions and more importantly: in the employees of both organizations!”
Can you explain that confidence? What characterizes your collaboration?
“Trust is created through intensive and, above all, substantive cooperation at various levels within our organisations,” says Mikel. “There is a lot of contact at the level of management, sales and technology.” “Absolutely, we work together almost every day,” Robert adds. “We discuss projects, portfolio updates, marketing campaigns, business evaluations and management updates. Due to these frequent contact moments, matters are discussed quickly and if there is anything, it can be resolved immediately.”
What makes Zebra and DatAction a strong combination in this industry?
Mikel: “Zebra has a very broad portfolio of high-quality products, including mobile computers and barcode scanners, which are continuously being developed. DatAction uses these products in a smart way for customers in various industries such as warehousing, transport & logistics, field services, government and the security services. For Zebra, the collaboration with DatAction therefore offers strong advantages: the company has specific knowledge of our products and is able to implement them concretely at the customer.” DatAction distinguishes itself in particular by actively thinking along with the customer, explains Robert. “This is how we distinguish ourselves in aftersales and service after implementation.” Many customers appreciate this combination, Mikel adds: “The combination of technical knowledge with aftersales and service is essential to guarantee quality and customer satisfaction.”
What is the benefit of this collaboration for your customers?
“Due to years of cooperation, a large ‘installed base’ of Zebra products has emerged in DatAction’s customer base,” says Robert. “This allows us to continue to support customers with the very latest solutions and next-generation products. This way a customer is always up to date!” Mikel adds: “Zebra sells its products 100% through partners. With partners such as DatAction, we can tackle joint projects as a unit. That gives the customer the best of both worlds; a good product, expert advice and a service you can rely on.”
What will the collaboration between Zebra and DatAction look like in the future?
“Innovative hardware will still be an important pillar, but Zebra also invests heavily in robotics and software applications to properly manage the hardware. As a premium partner of Zebra, DatAction will follow these developments and train our employees where necessary, so that we can provide our customers with even better solutions,” says Robert.
